Step into the thrilling world of Unfair Mazes, a multiplayer turn-based puzzle strategy game that will challenge your wits and test your strategic prowess. Whether you choose to face off against friends in a two or four-player mode or take on the AI in Single Player mode, each match promises exhilarating twists and turns.
Your objective is simple: navigate your player piece to the goal located at the opposite corner of the board before your opponents do. But it's not just about speed; you'll need to think strategically and outsmart your rivals to secure victory!
Gameplay Mechanics:
- Two Moves per Turn: Make up to two moves per turn, with the option to save extra moves for your next turn. Use them wisely to outmaneuver your opponents!
- Rotating Walls:
Create pathways to your goal by rotating any of the eight surrounding walls. Simply click on a wall to rotate it. Remember, walls occupied by players cannot be rotated! You’ll encounter two types: passageways (vertical and horizontal) and diagonals.
- Advancing:
Move your player piece into the next cell while observing the exit direction, affected by wall configurations. If blocked, you remain in your current cell.
- Advancing Opponents:
Strategically advance your opponents to divert them from their goals. This tactical move can be pivotal in your quest for victory!
- End Turn:
Choose to save up to 10 moves for your next turn, leaving your opponents guessing about your strategy. Two new moves are awarded at the end of your turn.
- Resignation:
If you sense defeat, resign early to save face and exit gracefully.
- Timed Moves:
Make your moves within a 20-second window. If the timer runs out, your turn ends but saved moves carry over!
- Game Over Conditions:
The game concludes once the first player reaches their goal or if all opponents resign. In rare cases, if all players have 10 saved moves each, the game ends in a draw.
Strategic Depth:
Decisions will greatly depend on your starting position and the randomly generated, sometimes unbalanced, board. Embrace the challenge of difficult boards and aim to sabotage your opponents by getting close enough to force them into undesirable moves. Will you save your moves for a last-minute dash or attempt to block your opponents?
Good luck, and may your strategic mind lead you to victory!
